TileForge

One small template in. A complete, engine-ready autotile set out.

TileForge turns a 3×3 block (plus one inner-corners tile) or an RPG Maker A2 block into the full 47-tile “blob” autotile set, or a 16-tile sides-only set, and exports it ready to paint with:

• Godot 4: a TileSet resource with the atlas, one terrain set and every peering bit already set on all 47 tiles. Drop it on a TileMapLayer and paint. No clicking 376 peering bits by hand. Verified in Godot 4.6: painted regions auto-tile correctly straight from the export.
• Tiled: a .tsx with a terrain set (Wang set) so the Terrain Sets tool just works, plus a sample map.
• RPG Maker MV/MZ: the A2 block, ready to paste into an A2 tileset image.
• Unity: grid JSON with per-tile neighbour flags and notes for Rule Tile.
• Any engine: PNG sheet + JSON with every tile’s neighbour mask.

Paint-to-preview. Draw on the preview map and watch every edge, corner and inner corner resolve live. You see exactly what your terrain will look like before you export.

Wire an existing sheet. Already have a 47- or 16-tile sheet? TileForge produces the Godot and Tiled files for it.

What you draw: just the pieces: four outer corners, four edges, one full tile, and one tile with the four inner corners. TileForge composes all 47 combinations from quadrants, so borders always line up. Tile sizes 8 to 256 px (even numbers).

Works with: Godot 4.x (TileMapLayer terrains), Tiled 1.10+, RPG Maker MV/MZ/VX Ace, Unity 2D Tilemap Extras, GameMaker and anything else that reads a sprite sheet.
